how twitter get profit from market ?
Twitter is not providing advertisement like google advertisement, affiliates or banners… nothing they show, so many sites like twitter are available in market, so how they earn… ?

The creator of Twitter was recently on The Colbert Report (Thursday, April 2nd) and addressed that exact question.
He said his business plan was to capture the market and then implement a service-based revenue source such as premium-level accounts. The basic service will still be free, but there will be certain options which will only be available by paying a fee.
When asked what options, he said he didn’t know yet. That phase was yet to go under development.
We’ve seen similar tactics with companies like Yahoo! who provide free email, but require a fee for premium services such as direct POP access, higher storage and mail size limits, or mail forwarding.
He said the new terms would go into effect once they had a certain number of registered users, although he didn’t say what that number was.
He did mention that his investors are very patient people…
