Hmm.. I would say affiliate marketing Bog.. or neither... Once that potential customer leaves your blog you have lost them forever! maybe You could think of some sought of campaign where you could offer something of value for FREE.. A newsletter or something... A boot Camp... You also need to put yourself into your marketing efforts!

The Idea Is the potential customer has to put in there details to receive your free offering to their in box... You then Have captured there details and you can market to them through an email marketing campaign to build a relationship with them... let me tell you MOST people do not buy from you straight away.

The idea is to capture there information so you can drip on them through emails of offering or whatever until they are ready to buy.. This is just a thought.. Maybe you should think about it!!

Hi John,

You could certainly do either of those but normally I'd recommend linking to your own site as you have much more control over it.

Firstly, many people sending people straight to the vendor will include an ugly looking affiliate url in the bio box. This then shouts 'affiliate link' and so many people will not click it just for that reason. You could of course use a redirect script to get around that problem.

Secondly, sending a visitor straight to the vendor means you lose any chance of collecting the visitors information so you can promote to them again in the future whereas sending them to your own site or even directly to your own squeeze page gives you this chance.

Hi there,

Social Media (blogs, wikis, Twitter etc) is a really simple and cost-effective way to market your service to target markets.

We have put together The Grumpy Old Managers Guide to Social Media Marketing. However you don't have to be grumpy, old or a manager to find it useful. It is available to read online or download free at our website http://tinyurl.com/socialmediaguide.

Hope you find it useful and perhaps there may be an opportunity to work together.

While I've never heard of it called "bum marketing," article marketing is used to get additional visitors to your site by using sites such as EzineArticles.com. When you post to sites like EzineArticles, it gets indexed by the search engines and allows people to find your article (providing that you are writing about something they are searching for). When they find your article, there is generally an "author" section that you use to promote your website.

If you really want to get more exposure, you can use what is called "article submitter software" to send your article to a bunch of different article sites, multiplying your chances of being found. Instead of you just submitting to individual article sites (there are quite a few of them) you can use this software to do the work for you. I attached a link for you to look at that compares the different ones available.

Remember, keep your content relevant when writing the articles too. EzineArticles is very highly-ranked site and is very strict on article content. Follow their rules for article writing and you should have no problem getting some additional hits to your site!

Article marketing rocks! It's a great way to get FREE traffic for almost anything you have that you want to get traffic to via the Internet.

I'm not sure way they call it "bum marketing". Maybe because it is free to do, once you get a few tools to make the job easier.

I use article marketing in my network marketing business to generate a daily stream of leads.

Here is a free training you can watch that will give you a ton of great ideas. I should charge money for this: http://Articles.SimpleMarketingTraining.com

Hope that assists!

Well, if you like to write articles about products that you make or want to promote, that is article marketing. I learned about article marketing through an online coaching club. This club will teach not only how to write great articles, but how to excel faster than the competition. It's the best investment I have ever made for myself. Check it out. Hope this helps!
