Are There Any Legitimate Survey Sites Online?

Word of mouth has worked to incorrectly make many people believe that all online survey websites are scams. This could not be further from the truth. The Internet has become a major way companies advertise right along with radio and television. The online sites that have surveys to fill out and offers to do are the recipients of that advertising money and they are just passing some of it along to us. Some of the sites that require you to pay to belong may be less than honest but any survey site that is free to join is most likely not a scam.
Now, you can’t get rich by doing these online surveys but you can pick up some extra spending money every month. If you go about it patiently and don’t expect too much, this is a great way for a beginner to go about starting to make some money online. Many of the survey sites will let you join for free and these are the ones that are most likely NOT a scam. If a site wants you to pay some sort of registration fee, the chance is much greater that it is not legitimate.
When starting out with a new survey site, it is smart to only invest enough time to reach the payout amount. You should then wait for a check to arrive before spending more time on the site. If you do get a check you will know it is on the up and up and if you get nothing you will not have wasted too much time.
Many of these paid survey sites offer money for any referrals you bring in and this is a good way to earn a little more after you have finished filling out the surveys. If you come up with some creative ways to get your friends to sign up, you might also think of ways to get the general public to sign up under you as well. It is not that hard to make some extra money in this fashion and the ones that are good at it can make quite a lot.
If you can learn how to make a blog and get traffic to that blog, referrals can add up quickly. There are also other ways to get referrals including handing out flyers, putting messages on bulletin boards, and printing up business cards to distribute. Going the online route of setting up a blog and learning how to get people to your site is by far the best way but it does take a lot of time and knowledge. If you are successful in doing this though, you can make a nice chunk of money each and every month.
